The room had to work for a full service and still feel intimate at two covers. Banquette length, table spacing, and the path to the kitchen were drawn before any finish was chosen.
Brass screens break the floor without closing it. Timber tops, dark flooring, and a low ceiling line keep the light on the table, not on the ceiling.
